Job description:
The IT Program Manager work with senior manager and strategizes and implements high-level program initiatives including synchronicity and alignment of multiple projects that accomplishes desired outcomes for the organization in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. Along with Senior Manager partners with stakeholders and delivers business targets and program performance. They also lead and manage a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts in facilitation of work and activities in direct alignment to the company’s strategic goals.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage Project Managers, Business Analysts to lead and facilitate project teams for optimal return on investment, coordinate, and delegate cross-project initiatives
- Collaborate with program sponsorship, cross-functional teams, and other constituents to identify scope, develop deliverables, manage resource and capacity planning, budget management, and evaluating dependencies of competing projects and understands timing of new initiatives
- Organize and coordinate programs and provide strategic guidance to teams and project participants
- Coordinate the management of complex issues that may arise as programs seek to deliver benefits
- Monitor the outputs and outcomes of a program's component activities and ensure that the program adapts appropriately to them.
- Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- Min 1 year of experience managing and directing project managers and/or business analysts
- 5 years of IT project/program management experience
- 3 years of experience with an Agile framework
- Expertise in project management and managing programs greatly affecting organizational strategy
- Proficient in Agile program and portfolio management practices and concepts
- Proficient in company standards, practices, and processes
- Basic knowledge of product, professional, and business objectives
